Challenges that bring practice to life

Bring practice to life

In the Main Experience, young people work together on challenges related to recognizable themes from the world around them. By researching, designing, testing, and collaborating, they discover how technology and technology contribute to solutions for technical and social challenges.

In the Main Experience, young people work together on challenges related to recognizable themes from the world around them. By researching, designing, testing, and collaborating, they discover how technology contributes to solutions for technical and social challenges.

From ports and logistics to care and welfare, from housing and climate to sports, circularity, and mobility. Each challenge shows how broad technology is and the possibilities it offers for the world of tomorrow.

How a challenge works

How a challenge works

A challenge starts with a story and a question to solve. The young people are introduced with a theme, discover why it is important, and then receive an assignment that they must tackle together.

It's not about one correct answer. It's about experiencing, trying, collaborating, and discovering which way of working suits you.

A challenge starts with a story and a question to solve. Young people are introduced to a theme, discover why it is important, and then receive an assignment that they must tackle together.

The assignments are built in steps. Sometimes young people need to research, sometimes build, sometimes test, and sometimes consult and choose. This involves different talents: practical, investigative, creative, social, entrepreneurial, and structured.

It's not about one correct answer. It's about experiencing, trying, collaborating, and discovering which way of working suits you.

Ports & Logistics

Ports & Logistics

In this theme, young people discover how logistics, data, energy, and smart containers work.

They research how technology can help move products, food, and energy smarter, safer, and more sustainably.

In this theme, young people discover how products, food, data, and energy move through the city and port. They research how planning, sensors, smart containers, automation, and data can help make logistics smarter, safer, and more sustainable.

The challenge makes technology tangible. The young people see that behind every route, container, delivery, or planning are technical choices. How do you know where something is? How do you prevent waste? How do you ensure systems continue to work as pressure increases?

For organizations in ports, logistics, transport, energy, data, automation, or cybersecurity, this is a powerful theme to let young people experience what happens behind the scenes in a sector that is often invisible but essential to the city and the economy.

Health & Wellbeing

Health & Wellbeing

In this theme, technology revolves around helping people. The young people get acquainted with care technology, robotics, sensors, and digital support. They research how technology can contribute to independence, health, safety, and contact.

The challenge shows that technology doesn't have to be cold or distant. In fact, in care and welfare, technology becomes concrete and human.

In this theme, technology revolves around helping people. The young people get acquainted with care technology, robotics, sensors, and digital support. They research how technology can contribute to independence, health, safety, and contact.

The challenge shows that technology doesn't have to be cold or distant. In fact, in health and wellbeing technology becomes concrete and human, serving as a tool that can give someone more freedom, attention, or support.

For organizations in health, wellbeing , medtech, robotics, data, or digital support, this theme offers a strong opportunity to show young people how broad and meaningful technology can be. Not from a corporate story, but through a recognizable challenge in which students experience what technology can do for people themselves.

Sports & Circularity

Sports & Circularity

In this theme, movement, health, and reuse come together. The youths research materials, design constructions, and contemplate how sports areas can become smarter, more social, and more sustainable.

The challenge shows that technology is also about usage, behavior, and material choice. How do you design something that is sturdy, works well, and can be reused?

The challenge shows that technology is also about usage, behavior, and material choice. How do you design something that is sturdy, works well, and can be reused? And how do you create a space where people enjoy moving, playing, and coming together?

For organizations in sports, circularity, materials, design, health, or area development, this theme is an accessible way to let youths experience that technology is not only behind screens but also in products, places, and materials they use daily.

Mobility

Mobility

In this theme, young people look at how people, goods, and technology move through the city. They research drones, routes, safety, data, behavior, and new forms of transportation.

The challenge shows that mobility is not only about vehicles. It is also about planning, trust, smart systems, and the question of how to keep a city accessible, safe, and sustainable.

For organizations in mobility, transport, logistics, data, cybersecurity, drones, or urban development, this theme is a strong way to show youths how technology helps organize movement smarter.

Living and Climate

Living and Climate

In this theme, young people research how homes, neighborhoods, and cities remain livable in a changing climate. They look at energy, water, cooling, sustainable materials, smart buildings, and healthy living environments.

The challenge shows that technology is not just about devices, but also about the places where people live, learn, and coexist.

The challenge shows that technology is not just about devices, but also about the places where people live, learn, and coexist. How do you keep a house cool? How do you collect water? And how do you make a neighborhood more sustainable without it becoming less pleasant?

For organizations in living, construction, energy, climate, design, real estate, or area development, this theme is a powerful way to let youths experience how technology helps to make the living environment smarter, more sustainable, and healthier.

What young people discover

What young people discover

During the challenges, young people discover different ways of thinking and doing. Not everyone contributes in the same way. One asks sharp questions, another prefers to build something, brings oversight to the team, or helps make decisions.

It is precisely this mix that makes the challenges valuable. The young people discover that technology does not ask for one type of person but requires different talents.

More than an experience

More than an experience

The challenges are intended to let young people actively experience what technology and engineering can mean. Not by just talking about it, but by getting hands-on.

In doing so, they discover that technology is not for one type of person. One quickly sees a practical solution, another asks good questions, makes something visual, brings calm to the team, or dares to take an idea further.

For schools, this helps to make technology and engineering tangible within career orientation. For partners, it shows how their theme, sector, or societal task can become part of young people's world in an accessible way.
